The Yarram Recreation Reserve will receive $24,375 from the LVA’s Community Facility Fund for the installation of solar panels at the Yarram Football Netball Club.
The club building is host to over 13 local user groups who collectively attract over 1,200 users to the facility each year.
The project will reduce the facility’s operating costs by approximately $6,800 per year, reduce the fundraising effort required from volunteers and sponsors, reduce emissions and encourage more community use.
The Latrobe Valley Authority’s Community Facility Fund supports great initiatives and projects that help to make the Latrobe Valley a great place to live and work, and to improve the health and wellbeing of those who live here.
