Community update November 2017

This Latrobe Valley Authority Community Update provides an overview of some of the work LVA is doing for workers, businesses and the Latrobe Valley community.

Message from the CEO:

It’s been 12 months since the Latrobe Valley Authority was established in November 2016 and we’ve learnt much about what matters to our community. We’re seeing the beginnings of what will be a significant transformation across the Latrobe Valley region.

The work underway will make sure this region is a strong, vibrant and healthy place to live well into the future.

Working closely with our local councils we are committed and determined to make long-term and lasting change.

The pipeline of Victorian Government investment includes a focus on jobs growth, employment opportunities and business support, as well as rail line upgrades, a new GovHub and investment in our local sports facilities and programs.

We need to keep supporting each other, and being open to new ideas and solutions, so that we can be sure our efforts are effective and reflect what the community and business wants.

The Latrobe Valley Authority is here to be this link and to work in tangible ways to get things done. I look forward to continuing this work with you.

Karen Cain
CEO, Latrobe Valley Authority
