Grants for new energy projects

The development of new energy skills and technology in the Latrobe Valley has been given a boost with three grants today announced from the Latrobe Valley New Energy Jobs Fund:

  • Federation Training will receive $8,000 to reduce the cost for local businesses to have staff complete the solar PV installers course. 
  • EnviroMicroBio Pty Ltd will receive $50,000 for new laboratory and analytical equipment to support local businesses wishing to explore anaerobic digestion for energy production and waste management.
  • Latrobe Valley Engineering Services and Sundermann Water Power will receive $48,400 for development of the Sundermann Water Turbine.

The funding is from the Latrobe Valley New Energy Jobs and Investment Prospectus which highlights opportunities for international, domestic and local businesses to invest in Victoria’s new energy transition in the Latrobe Valley.

The Prospectus focuses on the Latrobe Valley’s clean energy potential, existing supply chain and workforce capabilities and the market for new energy technologies and services for industry and investors.
