New Latrobe Valley Authority CEO Commences

In December the Victorian State Government announced a new Chief Executive Officer to lead the Latrobe Valley Authority (LVA) and support the community through its next phase of transition.

Chris Buckingham commenced as CEO with the LVA team in January. Chris brings 15 years of experience as a senior executive across several sectors, including state and local government and tourism.  He was most recently the CEO at Casey Cardina Libraries.

As a Gippslander, Chris has strong connections to the Latrobe Valley and understands firsthand the unique opportunities and challenges faced by the region and the community.

“I want to strengthen the focus on driving the economy to create local jobs. We will continue to work with the community and our partners across all sectors to ensure the essential conditions for long-term sustainable prosperity”.
