State Government Announces further funding for the Latrobe Valley Authority

The Latrobe Valley Authority (LVA) is thrilled by the State Government commitment today of $7.5 million to continue LVA’s work creating jobs in our community in 2022-23.

The LVA will focus on growing more jobs in the region’s strength areas such as new energy, food and fibre, health and wellbeing, tourism and advanced manufacturing. The development of a contemporary transition plan will help inform a regional approach to support the community and keep local jobs.

CEO Chris Buckingham said: “This is great news. We look forward to getting on with the job and working with our community to build a strong and resilient region.  Let’s keep the momentum going.”
