Cook up a team of three and compete for salivating prizes in this exciting 3x3 basketball tournament as part of the WNBL Triple Crown.

Sample clinics, coaching workshops, wheelchair basketball come and try, and Melbourne Boomers v Bendigo Spirit exhibition matches featuring Australian 3x3 representative Maddie Garrick.

Free Basketball Coaching Workshop

Basketball coaches are invited to an open chat with Boomers head coach Guy Molloy ahead of the WNBL Triple Crown pre-season game against the Bendigo Spirit in Traralgon.

Guy has coached at all levels of the game and worked with teams across the NBL, WNBL, Australian Opals and is currently head coach of the New Zealand Tall Ferns.

This is an invaluable opportunity for coaches of all levels to learn from the best in the business.

Melbourne Boomers vs Bendigo Spirit

Get a taste of basketball royalty when the WNBL Triple Crown returns to the region this September.

The Melbourne Boomers will spend four days across Baw Baw, Wellington and the Latrobe Valley culminating in a full-scale WNBL pre-season match against Bendigo Spirit on Sunday 15 September at Traralgon Sports Stadium.

Local school children will kick it with Victory in a super clinic at Traralgon City Soccer Club.

Melbourne Victory Coaches Forum

11am, 21 September, Latrobe City Sports and Entertainment Stadium

Soccer coaches from across Gippsland and beyond are invited to attend this free community coaches forum ahead of the Melbourne Victory A-League friendly in Morwell on 21 September.

MVFC General Manager - Technical and Academy Drew Sherman will deliver the workshop, focusing on learning practical delivery skills and expert coaching techniques.

This free forum will be a valuable resource for coaches at all levels of the game.

The session will run from 11am to 1pm on Saturday 21 September, with the Victory A-League friendly to follow from 2.30pm.

Melbourne Victory v Perth Glory

Football will be the flavour of the day on 21 September when A-League powerhouse Melbourne Victory returns to Morwell for a pre-season friendly exhibition match against Perth Glory.

Tickets will be sold at the gate: Adults $10, Children and Concession $5, under 5 free.

The football feast continues with the Latrobe Valley Soccer League’s top six grand final day on Sunday 22 September.

Junior clinics with Collingwood Magpies netball

Junior netballers will have the chance to rub shoulders with the Collingwood Magpies in a series of clinics at Sale and Warragul this September.

Tour of Gippsland cycling

2019 National Road Series Tour of Gippsland

25-27 October, Churchill, Newborough and Warragul

The 2019 Tour of Gippsland is shaping up as a three-course meal on wheels with a trio of tantalising stages in store for cycling fans.

Newborough, Churchill and Warragul are serving up something for every palette with hills, thrills and spills on the menu.

Locals and visitors can also take in the Australian Ballet performing at Lardner Park on 26 October (see below).

PGA Gippsland Super Six

PGA of Australasia Tour event

7-10 November, Yallourn Golf Club

The PGA of Australasia will bunker down in Gippsland with a brand-new Tour of Australasia tournament teeing off at Yallourn Golf Club this November.

Feast your eyes on a field of 132 pros and local qualifiers as they compete in the inaugural ‘Gippsland Super Six’ - a fast-paced four-day major competition.

This new event comprises three days of stroke and match play qualifying ahead of a dramatic top 24 six-hole shootout tailor made for Sunday spectators.

A full week of activity has been flagged including a junior pro-am, masterclass sessions, ‘caddy kids’ opportunities and qualifying competitions for local amateurs to take part in the tournament proper.
