Youth Employment Program

Project Support Officer x 2

The Youth Employment Program (YEP) was established to provide young people with the opportunity to kickstart their careers and develop skills for the future. These positions in the public service will give young Victorians a foot in the door through on-the-job experience and training. The YEP program forms part of the Working for Victoria initiative, which helps Victorians, including people who have lost their jobs as a result of coronavirus (COVID-19), find paid work that supports our community.

About the roles

The Latrobe Valley Authority (LVA) based in Morwell have two positions on offer for the right candidates. We are looking for friendly, enthusiastic people, with good communication skills, who are keen to learn and be supported by skilled and experienced leaders in our organisation.

Community Engagement Support Officer

Provides administration/customer service/ business support for a range of projects within the Latrobe Valley Sports and Community Initiative (LVSCI) and wider Community Wellbeing and Worker Transition team. The team works closely with community groups to improve community participation and accessibility to sport and active recreation activities in the Latrobe Valley.

Grants and Administration Support Officer

Provides administration/customer service/ business support for a range of Grant projects and programs, and the Customer Service Team within the LVA. The team works closely with community groups, businesses and local Councils to improve the liveability of the Latrobe Valley.

To be eligible for these roles you need to fit the following criteria:

  • Aged between 17-29 years.
  • Unemployed and eligible to be employed by the Victorian Government.

These roles will be advertised through Working for Victoria from 26 November 2020.
