Special workshop: Transitioning to your next job
Ivan Neville has worked for the federal Department of Employment for 15 years and currently manages the Labour Market Research and Analysis Branch. He is responsible for analysing the contemporary Australian labour market and identifying current and future demand for skills. He gives many presentations around the country on a broad range of labour market issues. Ivan has also had extensive international experience, and worked in the ABS for many years in a number of economic and labour market areas.

Victorian Gov New Energy Jobs Fund Round Two - Now Open
Today the Victorian Government launched round two of the $20 million New Energy Jobs Fund. The Fund is now open, with applications closing on 1 March 2017. Up to $6 million is available in two streams – Community and Industry. Categories will focus on manufacturing, technology, community energy and skills development. Eligible projects may include physical projects, innovative business and finance models, and projects that address skills gaps in the sector.

The Latrobe Valley will be home to a new Hi-Tech Precinct, bringing together the new Morwell Tech School with Federation University, Federation Training, private tenants, and leading global technology brand Fujitsu.

The LVA celebrated R U OK Day on Thursday 8 September, 2022. The key theme for this year is: "No qualifications needed". This means you do not need any formal qualifications to help someone in need. Staff attended the Morwell office wearing yellow to recognise RU OK Day and celebrated with an afternoon tea.
